Families dealing with an accusation between relatives, disputed accounts of an event, or a person who has been blamed for something and wants the chance to answer it formally.
Family disputes are rarely about a single fact, but they often turn on one. When two people give completely different accounts and everyone else has been asked to pick a side, an independent examination can give a family something neutral to work from.
We are careful about consent in these cases. If the person being tested has been pressured into attending by the rest of the family, the examination is not valid and we will not carry it out. Everyone attending needs to want to be there.
