Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. Some are needed for a site to function; others track behaviour and need your consent before they are set. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent must be given before a non-essential cookie is placed — not afterwards.
What this site uses
Strictly necessary: WordPress sets a cookie when you submit a form or log in, and our cookie banner stores your choice so we do not ask again. On the booking page our booking software stores your part-finished booking so it survives a refresh (latepoint_cart_…), and we set a cookie recording that your phone number is a UK one (latepoint_phone_country) — that one exists specifically so the booking form does not have to look your location up from a third-party service. These do not require consent.
Analytics: we do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics or advertising service, and we do not track you across other websites.
Maps: the map on our contact page is not loaded until you press the button. Once you do, Google may set cookies and will receive your IP address.
Payments: Stripe’s payment library loads on our booking page and sets two cookies, __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid, which it uses to detect fraud. They are set only on the booking page, not anywhere else on this site. Stripe also sets cookies on its own payment pages for fraud prevention.
